Delhi, the capital city of India, is situated on the banks of the Yamuna River. The city is renowned for its monuments, art galleries, temples, forts, museums and markets. Humayun's Tomb: Humayun was the Mughal emperor. It is his mausoleum. Humayun's wife Bega Begum, also called Haji Begum, built her husband's mausoleum.
Qutub Minar: Qutub-ud-din Aibak began building the Qutub Minar in 1199 AD, but he passed away before it was finished. The edifice was completed by his son-in-law and successor, Iltutmish.
Lotus Temple: The structure, also called the Bahai Temple, is shaped like a lotus flower. Lotus Temple is the perfect spot to go if you're searching for a few quiet moments in the middle of a busy city.
